Chipmaker Nvidia reported earnings above and beyond Wall Street expectations on Wednesday, boosted by soaring demand for its computer chips that power nearly all the world's major apps.Nvidia's adjusted revenue in the second quarter was $13.51 billion, up a staggering 101 percent from a year ago and topping estimates of $11.22 billion from analysts polled by Refinitiv. The company forecast third-quarter revenue of about $16 billion, well above the analyst expectations of $12.61 billion. Nvidia's guidance suggests that its sales will grow 170 percent from a year ago in the current quarter.
