New York's top federal prosecutor has vowed to shutter two 'illegal' supervised drug consumption sites in Manhattan - despite the centers reversing 1,000 overdoses since it opened in 2021.Damian Williams, the US attorney for the southern district of New York, said the sites - located in Harlem and Washington Heights - are 'currently operating in violation of federal, state and local laws.''The opioid epidemic is a law enforcement crisis and a public health crisis,' Williams told in a statement on Monday.
