Panera Bread has been sued by the family of a 21-year-old UPenn student who went into cardiac arrest after she had one of their charged lemonades.Sarah Katz died on September 10, 2022, just hours after she consumed a large charged lemonade from a Panera in Philadelphia. She also suffered from a heart condition. A large charged lemonade contains 390 milligrams of caffeine which is more than a Red Bull and Monster energy drink combined, according to the lawsuit.
