Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg warned on Wednesday that the country is 'running out of time' to do something about as a record heat wave sweeps the United States.
Buttigieg got into a back-and-forth on climate change during an interview with CNBC's Joe Kernen, who questioned the transportation secretary about what President could do to give Americans relief during the heat wave.
A 'heat dome' is landing on the United States on Wednesday with the 'dangerous' heatwave hitting highs of 118 degrees. More than 265 million people will be at risk, with a third of the American population being issued with excessive heat warnings. It follows record high temperatures in Europe this week.
