Anonymous video chat website Omegle has shut down following criticism about reported abuse on the platform, with an admission from its owner that some users had committed "heinous crimes".Founder Leif K Brooks posted a lengthy statement to the site on Thursday saying after 14 years, operating the service was "no longer sustainable, financially nor psychologically".The site, which randomly connected users from all over the world, has been criticised extensively, including one lawsuit in America which claimed a pre-teen user was connected with a user who abused them for years.
