The U.S. is soon to brace for a major travel nightmare as a record 7.5million people are expected to fly this holiday season, leading to inevitable large crowds and delays at airports. The projected number of 7.5million travelers surpasses the 2019 record of 7.3million passengers and marks the busiest on record since since the the American Automobile Association (AAA) began tracking data in 2000. 'This year-end holiday forecast, with an additional 2.5 million travelers compared to last year, mirrors what AAA Travel has been observing throughout 2023,' said Paula Twidale, Senior Vice President of AAA Travel.
