A Republican running for decided to take the migrant crisis into her own hands by fixing a portion of the Mexico-California herself using razor wire. Kate Monroe - a Marine Corps veteran and author - took 400 feet of razor wire to a gap in the southern border that has been infamous in recent months for mass migrant crossings leaving the rural area littered with trash and debris. The border opening, known locally as the 'San Judas Break' based on its proximity to a nearby Mexican town bearing the same name, sits roughly 80 miles East of San Diego near Jacumba Hot Springs, . The opening itself is only a few feet wide.
