More than 1,000 residents were given evacuation orders on Tuesday night as a large fire broke out in the desert region of Scottsdale, . The blaze, officially known as the Diamond Fire, broke out at around 5:15 p.m. near 128th Street and within hours had burned 2,500 acres of land without any containment, pushing south to McDowell Mountain Regional Park.The nearby community of about 1,145 residents were told to evacuate, fire officials said.
