has been named America's fraud capital after residents there suffered the biggest per-capita losses of any state, new research shows. Citizens of the Silver State handed over $79.4 million to criminals in the first nine months of 2023 - the equivalent of $25.58 per person. By comparison, Louisianahad the lowest number of fraud losses with residents having $34.8 million stolen - or $7.50 per resident.In total, Americans lost $7 billion to fraudsters in the first nine months of last year, according to data collected by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
