San Francisco 49ers' Charles Omenihu arrested for domestic violence

defensive lineman Charles Omenihu has been arrested on suspicion of after police were called to his San Jose home, according to a department statement.

The 25-year-old was booked at the Santa Clara County jail, but has since been released after posting bail. The allegation is only a misdemeanor, but Omenihu could still be sentenced to up to a year in prison if convicted.

Officers were called to his home in San Jose on Monday afternoon, when a woman, claiming to be his girlfriend, said he 'pushed her to the ground during an argument.'
