Bob Evans Farms is recalling nearly 47,000 pounds of pork sausage links that might contain pieces of clear hard plastic, federal officials said Thursday.The possibly contaminated raw pork products were shipped to retail stores in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and nine other states, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service.Officials said they found the plastic after customer complaints. No one has reported becoming sick from the contamination, according to the FSIS."Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them," the agency said. "These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase."The FSIS said the following products were impacted:"BOB EVANS MAPLE PORK SAUSAGE LINKS." These products contain a Use by date of Oct. 16, 2018 or Oct. 19, 2018, and Lot Code of 8213."BOB EVANS BROWN SUGAR & HONEY." These products contain a Use by date of Oct. 16, 2018, and Lot Code of 8213."FRESH FROM MEIJER MAPLE FLAVORED SAUSAGE LINKS." These products contain a Use by date of Sept. 06, 2018, and Lot Code of 8213."GIANT EAGLE MAPLE PORK BREAKFAST SAUSAGE LINKS CARAMEL COLOR ADDED." These products contain a Use by date of Sept. 10, 2018, and Lot Code of 8213."SCHNUCKS MAPLE RECIPE BREAKFAST SAUSAGE." These products contain a Lot Code of 8213.
