A high school band director who was repeatedly tased after refusing to halt a post-match performance has said he did not deserve it and accused police of using ‘excessive force’.Police bodycam footage has been released of the stand-off between police officers and Johnny Mims during his band’s fifth-quarter program at PD Jackson-Olin High School in the city.It shows officers repeatedly demanding Mims stop the music as his Minor High School players celebrated the win over their local rivals on September 14.
