A British-made satellite dubbed the 'world's thermometer' has sent back its first pictures from space today. 'HotSat-1' captures images in the infrared range to show how much heat is being emitted by buildings, carparks, airports, oil refineries and more. The new shots reveal the scale of heat emissions in a number of locations including , Albuquerque in New , and 's Northwest Territories .
