A 16-year-old girl is recovering in a trauma unit after suffering spinal injuries when a sheriff's deputy slammed her to the ground during a brawl outside of a high school football game on Friday night. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, authorities responded to Victor Valley High School around 6:30pm after getting a report about a large scale fight between students. Cell phone video shows the deputy pick up the girl and the slam her hard on to the pavement, a teen boy then becomes involved and confronts the officer.
