Stanley Zhong, now 19, and his father, Nan Zhong, have filed federal lawsuits alleging he was discriminated against as an Asian American when some of the nation's best universities and even five state schools rejected his application in 2023.
They noted that Zhong had a 3.97 grade point average and a 4.42 weighted GPA, and was one of only about 2,000 students to score a 1590 or higher on the SAT - out of the more than two million students that take it each year.
