Simone Biles becomes FIRST woman to land Yurchenko double pike

Not content to simply rewrite the gymnastics record books, became the first woman to do the Yurchenko double pike at the world championships Sunday, thereby adding it to her growing list of eponymous skills.

The Biles II, as the vault will be known going forward, occurred on Sunday in Antwerp, where the 26-year-old is poised to add to her record 25 world championship medals, 19 of which are gold.

It was in that Belgian city where Biles won her first world championship a decade ago, yet somehow the native Texan continues to find new ways to leave her mark on the sport at an age when many gymnasts consider retiring. She already had four skills named for her: two on the floor exercise, one on the balance beam, and another on the vault. (Skills in gymnastics are named for the first person to perform them at a major international competition)
