An doctor who died along with her sister at an assisted suicide clinic in Switzerland had transferred her $1 million home to a trust to benefit her family weeks before their deaths.
Lila Ammouri, a 54 year-old palliative care doctor, whose death with her sister, Susan Frazier, 49, a registered nurse, was confirmed on February 18, had placed her million dollar Cave Creek home in an intrafamily trust on January 25.
The arrangement, also known as a living trust, allows family members to receive the property after her death without having to go through the conventional legal process of probate to prove they're the rightful heirs to the property.
