The police chief of a small town in was being investigated by the local newspaper over allegations of sexual misconduct before he ordered his entire department to raid the newspaper offices, it has emerged.The publisher's 98-year-old mother, Joan Meyer, who co-owned the paper, died the day after the raid - having told The Wichita Eagle: 'These are Hitler tactics, and something has to be done.'Her son Eric Meyer, 69, said his mother was devastated at the seizure of computers and servers from The Marion County Record offices.
