Pennsylvania and residents are suffering the worst of the hazardous smoke, as over 100 million people have been placed under pollution alerts. The hazy skies were so severe in Connecticut that it reportedly caused a major car accident on the 95 North interstate highway, resulting in major backlogs for hours.
