Hundreds of Civil War era gold coins pulled from the ground of a US cornfield are worth a staggering $2 million, a formal valuation has found.A Kentucky man found the buried treasure on his farm earlier this year when he pulled more than 700 gold - and a handful of silver coins - from the dry brown dirt.The haul is now known as the "Great Kentucky Hoard" and have now been valued by the Numismatic Guaranty Company's (NGC) Certified Collectibles Group.
