The State Department on Monday said it was concerned for the health of Trevor Reed, a former U.S. Marine jailed in Russia, following local reports that he was being treated in prison hospital after ending a hunger strike. The 30-year-old Texan was sentenced to a nine-year prison term after being convicted of endangering the lives of two police officers while drunk during a visit to Moscow in 2019.He pleaded not guilty and the United States described his trial a 'theater of the absurd.'
