Brave teenage firefighters are standing up against the flames of the largest wildfire in history as the fire continues to ravage the panhandle's lands under critical weather conditions.Nine junior members of the Hoover Volunteer Fire Department, age from 14 to 17, have joined the efforts to combat the inferno, as only 15 percent of the fire has been contained almost a week after it ignited on Monday.Nathan Slater, a 15-year-old member of the team, knew he needed to respond to a page immediately after his Monday classes were dismissed due to the fires.
