Tens of thousands of people designated as 'special interest ' have been detained at the U.S. southern border during the past two years, raising fresh worries about the threat of terrorists sneaking into the country.In all, more than 70,000 migrants have been picked up from countries of particular concern, according to leaked Custom and Border Protection data.They include 6,386 nationals from , where the took control in 2021 after a 20-year war, 659 people from , which backs the terrorist group , and , which is designated as a state sponsor of terrorism.
