Tributes are flowing for entertainer , best known for his alter ego Dame Edna Everage, after his death in a hospital aged 89.

Australian Prime Minister has led worldwide tributes to entertainer Barry Humphries, who has died at 89.

'For 89 years, Barry Humphries entertained us through a galaxy of personas, from Dame Edna to Sandy Stone,' the prime minister wrote on on Saturday night after news of Humphries' death broke.
