A British man who was captured fighting for Ukraine in the besieged city of Mariupol appeared bloodied and beaten in an image of him in custody that was released Thursday.Aiden Aslin, 27, was seen in handcuffs in the photo first published by a pro-Kremlin Twitter account that referred to him as an “English mercenary who fought on the side of the Nazis in Mariupol,” according to the Telegraph.“An interesting interview is coming soon,” the site reportedly said, teasing a likely forced propaganda interview with the Nottinghamshire man who on Tuesday became the UK’s first known prisoner of Russia’s war.
