Unvaccinated Nets guard Kyrie Irving made a pair of appearances at Brooklyn's Barclays Center over the weekend, not because lifted its injection mandate for private sector employees, but rather because the star wasn't working. While New York Mayor Eric Adams has eased the city's mandates, allowing fans to attend games without presenting proof of vaccination, the mandate for local workers remains in place. And as such, the 29-year-old former top-overall draft pick will continue to be sidelined for home games. The unmasked Irving was at Barclays Center on Saturday to watch his alma mater, Duke, lose the ACC Tournament title game to Tech before returning on Sunday to see his Nets beat the crosstown rival Knicks thanks to 53 points from Brooklyn star Kevin Durant.
