The University of Pennsylvania has appointed the dean of the Ivy League's medical school as its new interim president after the resignation of Liz Magill.The board of trustees announced that J. Larry Jameson, 69, is to become the school's caretaker leader effective Tuesday.It comes after Magill stepped down following her disastrous appearance on Hill where she - along with the presidents of Harvard and MIT - refused to agree that calling for the genocide of Jews was against university rules. Harvard president Claudine Gay and her MIT counterpart Sally Kornbluth remain in post.
