A billionaire businessman who poured a fortune into a failed candidacy for the US presidency has lambasted work-from-home arrangements in a US newspaper column.Writing in the Washington Post, former New York mayor and Bloomberg LP co-founder Michael Bloomberg declared "the pandemic is over" - despite hospitalisations for COVID-19 recently trending up in the US - and that there was no longer any reason for people to avoid the office. The main focus of his ire was public service workers in Washington DC, a city which he said had become a "shadow of its former self".
