The first of 3,000 US troops meant to reinforce America’s NATO allies arrived in Eastern Europe Thursday, as photos showed the unloading of US military Strykers and supply trucks at a Polish port.
Photos from the Baltic port city of Gdynia showed dozens of armed US Army M1126 Strykers and Humvees, as well as more than 200 pieces of American military equipment.
Meanwhile, 300 soldiers with the 18th Airborne Corps arrived in Wiesbaden, Germany, Thursday, where they are tasked with establishing a headquarters for upcoming paratrooper deployments, according to the US military’s European Command.
