A US Navy team have recovered a fighter jet from a depth of 2.8km in the Mediterranean Sea after the aircraft had blown overboard during "unexpected heavy weather" in July.The $80 million F/A-18 Super Hornet was aboard aircraft carrier the USS Harry S. Truman when it blew overboard on July 8, a release from US Naval Forces Europe-Africa said.The service members who recovered the aircraft used a remotely operated vehicle to attach "specialised rigging and lift lines" to the jet while it was underwater.
