The United States is expected to announce that it will accept 100,000 refugees from Ukraine and other nations who have displaced by the Russian invasion, according to a new report. It was not immediately clear when the announcement would be made, but NBC News reported on the pending policy as President Biden joined NATO leaders in Brussels for an emergency summit Thursday. The report indicated that Ukrainians who already have family in the US will receive priority for resettlement. The Biden administration is expected to use the dispensation of immigrant and non-immigrant visas, as well as the Refugee Admissions Program, to carry out the effort.
