At least two civilians were shot dead in Auckland last night, hours before the Women’s World Cup begins in the city.Shots were fired on the morning of joint-hosts New Zealand’s opening fixture against Norway, whose hotel was one of those in the immediate vicinity to the incident.Locals were urged to stay at home after a gunman stormed a building in central Auckland at just before 7.30am local time, less than half a mile from The Cloud fan zone and several teams’ hotels.
