A 63-year-old man has been identified as the first death caused by the state's recent spate of massive floods after he hit his head and became trapped underwater while pumping out of his basement.Stephen Davoll, 63, died Wednesday 'as a result of a drowning accident in his home' in Barre, a city of about 8,500 people in central , said Vermont Emergency Management spokesman Mark Bosma.Davoll's wife, Beverly Frost said that she and Davoll were vacationing in New York State when they heard about the flooding and came back to try and rescue their home.
