An amazing sped-up video caught the moon whizzing by the sun during an eclipse that was only seen in space. The sun-observing GOES satellite and its SUVI (Solar Ultraviolet Imager) instrument captured the cosmic show while observing the sun's hot outer atmosphere or corona. The moon moved in front of the sun, blocking the blazing surface with a dark silhouette, and as the lunar orb disappeared, a filament erupted at the northwestern limb near the pole.
