Washington state Coast Guard saves motorist from biblical floods

A driver has been rescued from the roof of his truck moments before raging flood water swept it away amid a dramatic helicopter intervention caught on drone camera.

Pacific Northwestcoast guard teams have shared footage of the incredible moment crews used an MH-60 Jayhawk to airlift a man to safety in the coastal city of Astoria, located in , just over the southern border from Washington state.

The area has been the epicenter of a deadly atmospheric event known as a 'Pineapple Express' which continues to pound the Pacific Northwest.
