Sedona City Council has approved a program that will allow the city's workers to sleep in an empty parking lot due to a lack of affordable housing in popular tourist area.The Safe Place to Park program will turn the Sedona Cultural Park into 40 parking spots for those employed full-time within city limits, reported the .Funded by a two-year grant from the Department of Housing, the Verde Valley Homeless Coalition will monitor the lot between 10 pm and 8 am, and all vehicles will be required to vacate during the day.
