Pablo Valencia has learned to recognize the signs and symptoms. He has been watching the Chargers since he was a boy. These days, he takes his own young children into the stands.‘You can feel it, you just know,’ Valencia explains. ‘The hair on your arms kind of tingles, when you know something bad is about to happen.’ Just as it did at SoFi Stadium last Sunday, when a Raiders fan was punched and thrown down the stairs by a Chargers supporter. When two female fans began trading punches and rival fans fell over seats after another nasty brawl escalated.Raiders supporters have become notorious over the years, their rivalry with the Chargers has seen problems linked to gang activity. ‘We always joke that the uniforms for their fans is like prison stripes,’ Valencia laughs. ‘They get a bad rep for having unruly fans.’
