Woman walks across Rome's Trevi Fountain to fill up water bottle

A woman was caught walking across Rome's iconic Trevi Fountain to fill up her water bottle in the latest of shocking incidents of tourists defacing Italian monuments.

In a video circulating on social media, the unidentified woman is seen standing in the middle of the landmark and allowing the fountain water to fill up her bottle.

The woman ignored signs posted around the fountain advising tourists not to step foot in the water and the video ends with a police officer approaching her.
