A mom was escorted out of a school board meeting for giving the middle finger to a board member while opposing a plan to bring Bible lessons to the classroom.
A public workshop hosted by the board in Sugar Land, just outside Houston, Monday saw strong opposition from parents over the proposed Bluebonnet curriculum, which would incorporate Bible references in reading classes.
The curriculum, which includes teachings like the 'Golden Rule' and other Biblical lessons, was approved by the state's Board of Education in November.
