Deal to save hostages kidnapped by Hamas edges nearer

A framework for a hostage release and pause in fighting in is to be put to Hamas, officials revealed tonight, but the Palestinian authorities have insisted a prisoner exchange will only take place once Israel agrees to a ceasefire.

Representatives from , the US, and struck the potential deal following talks in Paris and it was expected to be proposed to today.

But the terror group tonight restated its position that it wants a 'complete and comprehensive ceasefire' in Gaza, not a temporary truce,' and that once the fighting stops 'the rest of the details can be discussed' including a hostage release.
