The 15-year-old Russian figure-skating sensation facing a doping charge will have her fate decided at an expedited hearing Sunday.
The international Court of Arbitration for Sport is expected to rule on Monday on whether Kamila Valieva can compete — less than 24 hours before the women’s individual event.
Valieva won gold in team figure skating last week, when she landed the first quadruple jump by a woman in Olympic history. However, that medal ceremony was postponed after a December test came back positive for trimetazidine, a banned heart medication that can increase blood flow and endurance.
