Transport officials have launched a probe into frequent flyer programs run by US airlines after lawmakers sounded the alarm over their 'deceptive practices.'The Department of Transportation (DoT) said it is meeting with passenger airlines to discuss issues with loyalty programs such as the fact some charge customers to transfer points while others have changed rules to devalue points.It comes after Delta Airlines was forced to u-turnthat would have affected millions of customers and restricted their access to airline lounges.
