Ford and the United Auto Workers are close to reaching a deal on a new contract, potentially spelling an end to the union's widening strike against the Detroit Three automakers, according multiple reports.The two sides had productive talks late Tuesday, and appear to be close to a tentative agreement on a 2023 union contract, sources told the on Wednesday.UAW on September 15 launched escalating strikes against Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis.
