A German tattoo artist says she was locked up in solitary confinement after she was detained while trying to walk through a checkpoint on the southern border.
Jessica Brösche, 26, was arrested by US Customs and Border Protection as she tried to enter the country through San Diego, from Tijuana, on January 25th, reported.
Brösche was traveling with her American friend Nikita Lofving as a tourist under the ESTA visa waiver program. The two had met in Tijuana and were carrying tattooing equipment.
