Miss USA contestants were left 'outraged' after the pageant's president muted them on a call over favoritism allegations, ahead of this year's winner competing in an international pageant.
On Tuesday, runners-ups were invited to a Zoom call with Miss Universe CEO Amy Emmerich, but she was 'nowhere to be found,' according to contestants. Instead, they found themselves in a virtual meeting with contest President Paula Shugart and investigators from third-party firm Holland & Knight.
To add insult to injury, contestants were denied the chance to air their view that to win and said the favoritism claims were not addressed at all.
