A player for has had his contract terminated by after he registered to play in an amateur league under a false name - and was then suspended for punching an opponent.
As was first reported by Quebec sports blog , Argentine forward Matko Miljevic was found to have been using a false name and playing in the Ligue Québécoise de Soccer Calcetto (QCSL) due to his frustration over a lack of game time.
This is in direct violation of his contract, and Major League Soccer announced on Monday that they terminated Miljevic's deal following an investigation.
