The rising political tension between the United States and Canada continued to spill over into the sporting world at the weekend.

'The Star-Spangled Banner' was once again targeted by furious Canadians Sunday when fans became the latest to boo the US national anthem amid 's tariff threats.

Just as their NHL counterparts have done over the past few weeks, the spectators gathered inside BC Place drowned out the performance of the national anthem ahead of the Whitecaps 2-1 win over the LA Galaxy.
