Americans living in the southwest are feeling especially stressed, leaving them at risk of a laundry list of chronic health conditions.
Researchers at WalletHub looked at all 50 states and measured residents across four key stressors: work, money, family and health and safety. Higher scores indicated greater levels of stress.
These categories were then further broken into metrics such as hours worked in a week, unemployment rate, median income, poverty rates, physical activity, mental health and number of doctors.
