A Pennsylvania school board member has refused to vote for the 'only cis white male' on the board as the next president - despite saying she believed he would do an 'excellent' job.
The Upper Moreland School District, which is in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia, held its board president election on December 6, during which Treasurer Jennifer Solot made her comment.
Solot then led the election until a new president was elected. The race, which was between April Stainback and Greg D'Elia ended in an 8-1 victory for Stainback.
